1 Corinthians Chapters

Observation:#

Verses that stuck out#

"But I want you to know that the head of every man

is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of

Christ is God… As woman came from man, even so man

also comes through woman."

1 Corinthians 11:2-16

Breaking down 1 Corinthians Chapter 8#

Theological Meaning#

God -> Christ -> Man -> Woman

Headship = Divine order, not domination.

Head covering = Cultural symbol of that order.

Core principle = Worship should honor God through reverence, order, and distinction between male and females roles.

Modern application = While literal head coverings may not carry the same meaning today, the principle still applies: honor God’s order in attitude, modesty, and behavior during worship.

Takeaway#

God calls men and women to worship Him with humility, reverence, and honor - reflecting His divine order through their conduct and appearance.

Application#

Ask yourself: “Am I honoring God’s order in how I live, worship, and relate to others? Do my outward actions reflect inward submission to Christ?”

Prayer#

Dear Heavenly Father,

Lord, You have created Man from dust and were so gracious to give Man a helper. Although, Woman was created from Man, and Man from God, Remind me that Man also comes into this world through woman. To honor her with her due respect. To be every thankful that God has given Man a helper and to serve God’s grace through serving our Helper. In Jesus’ Name we pray,

Amen.
