Scripture#
Nehemiah 6:9"For they all were trying to make us afraid,
saying, 'Their hands will be weakened in the
work, and it will not be done.'
Now therefore, O God, strengthen my hands."
Observation#
- When the enemy fails to divide you from within the walls, he implements opposition from outside the wall (James 4:14)
- Nehemiah had exceptional discernment.
- If the enemy cannot defeat you as a roaring lion, he’ll come as a lying serpent… or even an angel of light.
- Nehemiah’s discernment when asked to leave the wall, “Why
would I leave the wall? God is working here.
- This reminds me of Rach and I right now. Don’t stop focusing on “The Wall”. God is working here. Discern! And do not lose focus!
- Keep doing what you’re doing… God’s work.
- Nehemiah 6:11
- If nehemiah left now, he would shake the faith of everyone else building the wall. You cannot leave! Do Not Fear! You cannot be a coward AND lead.
- You need to lead her. Do not let you faith be shaken or her’s will too shake. Lead as the example.
- Keep layering bricks to build “The Wall”. Brick by brick. Trust in God. And do what pleases Him! A Bondservant to Jesus Christ.
- 2 Timothy 2:3-4
- And once the “The Wall” is built; THEN the work of refinement within “The Wall” begins!
Application#
- Continue focusing on God, His word and serving Rachael.
- Do not get distracted. What I’m doing IS God’s work.
- The enemy will be very tatical in breaking my focus.
- I must discern just like Nehemiah. Discern the roaring lion (obvious opposition), the serpent (subtle deception) and the false angel of light (those close to me that the enemy will use).
Prayer#
Dear Heavenly Father,
I’m hungry, Lord. Not for comfort or ease, but for You, Lord! I want to grow Lord. Give me trials to endure in order to grow but also, I ask that you give me discernment like Nehemiah to rebuke the roaring lion, the serpent and the false angel of light from the enemy. Give me courage to lead my Helper so that Her faith in you and Her and I is NEVER shaken. Burn away all my pride, hate, angst, and worry! Fill me with Your Spirit, Lord! Breathe your Spirit on me, Lord! Ignite my fire every day that burns for Your Word, Lord. Make me walk like you, Lord. I want an unbreakable relationship with You, Lord! You are always faithful, even when I’m not.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
